Princess Andre has revealed she had uncomfortable experiences growing up in her mother’s old Sussex home—famously dubbed the “mucky mansion”—calling it “a really scary house” where “a lot went on.” Despite her mother Katie Price’s efforts to transform the sprawling nine-bedroom property into a family home on her Channel 4 show Katie Price’s Mucky Mansion, Princess admitted in The Princess Diaries that she never felt at ease living there, and believed no child should have to go through what she did .
Born in 2007 to reality star Katie Price and singer Peter Andre, Princess said she often felt she witnessed “things no kid should,” admitting she wished her childhood had been “happier”
There was even a period when she and her brother Junior stayed with their dad, Peter, as part of a court arrangement—something Princess referenced as they recounted family dynamics in the show
Now 18, Princess divides her time between her dad’s Surrey home and her mum’s new residence. She described her father’s place as “a lot quieter, a lot more peaceful, a lot more organised,” in contrast to the chaotic environment of the Sussex mansion
Regarding her absence from The Princess Diaries, Princess clarified there was no intention to exclude her mum. As she was living with her dad during the filming, he appeared more in the series. “It was never true that I didn’t want her in it,” she emphasized
The teenager now moves between her dad’s house in Surrey and her mum’s new home, explaining: “Dad’s house is a lot quieter, a lot more peaceful, a lot more organised.”
In The Princess Diaries, it was noted that her mum doesn’t make an appearance, while her dad does.
“Because I’m living with dad at the moment, he was in it more,” Princess claimed.
