Laufey and Doechii have released “Runway,” the lead single from The Devil Wears Prada 2, and it is already tearing up the UK charts.
The track dropped on April 10, 2026 through Interscope and Capitol Records, and within days it had entered the Official UK Singles Chart at number 13, with trajectory that puts it firmly on course to claim the highest new entry of the week.
“Runway” is a house and hip-hop track with strong ballroom influences, produced by Bruno Mars, Cirkut, and Dernst “D’Mile” Emile II alongside co-producer Andrew Watt. Lyrically, it explores themes of ambition, self-belief and visibility, using the fashion runway as a metaphor for owning your space in the world.

The collaboration makes perfect sense on paper. Gaga built her entire early career on the intersection of fashion and music, and Doechii, the Grammy-winning rapper who has had one of the most remarkable rises in recent memory, brings an energy and presence that matches Gaga’s theatrical intensity note for note.
The track was debuted in the trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2, the sequel to the 2006 film that became a cultural touchstone for a generation. Gaga also has a guest appearance in the film itself, making “Runway” more than just a promotional tie-in.
Early reaction from fans and critics has been overwhelmingly enthusiastic, with many pointing to it as a contender for song of the summer before the season has even begun. If the chart performance in its first week is anything to go by, “Runway” is only going up.
